Last Windows Update wrecked my old computer.

Image via WikipediaI had to use a system restore to make my old computer work after the last Windows Update.  My old computer will not accept this last Windows Update and boot up.  I sure hope Microsoft fixes this problem because I can't afford a new computer.  I have had this problem in the past but usually the next major update will eliminate it if you never use intermediate updates.  It may be however that my computer is just ready for the scrap yard because it can't handle new software.
