SEYMOUR, CT - MAY 29: Civil War reenactors march during the Memorial Day Parade in the economically stressed region of the Connecticut Valley on May 29, 2011 in Seymour, Connecticut. Hundreds of towns and cities across America will celebrate Memorial Day with parades, cookouts and family gatherings. Memorial Day, the unofficial start to the summer season, was conceived as a day for Americans to commemorate U.S. Service Members who died in every war, including current conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq. Churches that do not give proper honor to veterans in this country are not in compliance with what the Bible teaches. This is especially true on Memorial day.
