Is there any comparison between the Holocaust and government sanctioned abortion?

The Holocaust (p7160658)Image by uzvards via FlickrIs there any comparison between the Holocaust and government sanctioned abortion? Some academics at prestigious universities in the United States have suggested that we should allow termination of the baby for a period of two years after it is born if it proves to be defective or unwanted.  I believe some of the ancient civilizations in Europe had similar practices.  What is the real difference between killing an unwanted adult, baby or unborn baby?  Humans are capable of telling right from wrong without Christ to guide them in my opinion but the problem is that only with Christ are they capable of doing what is right.  I have killed animals in the past but I found even that to be upsetting.  To consciously terminate the life of another human being at any stage of development without sufficient cause must change a person forever.  How can someone kill anyone on a daily basis like the Nazi's did or abortion doctor's do today?   Nothing the Nazi's did could ever justify their killings.  Saving the life of the mother is the only reason that could justify terminating the life of a baby when adoption is available as an alternative for all other situations.
