My good eye isn't that bad after all.

I only have one eye that works and my doctors wanted me to have it checked carefully because Crohn's disease can cause inflammation in the eyes that is not immediately apparent. I have some black spots but they are not that bad so they just want to check them every year at the eye institute by Froedtert. I was actually mildly worried about the preliminary macular degeneration diagnosis that I had received years ago because of this black spot that entered my field of vision on a fairly permanent basis recently.  It may never cause me any further problems. No bad news is definitely good news in this case. I just included the picture because I liked the acronym of BADAS.

I am never going to buy another house.

I hate buying houses.  The last house I bought was at least 20 years ago and I must have forgot how much I dislike the process.  Every house we want to buy seems to have a myriad of problems that cause the deal to fall through.  Hopefully we have finally zeroed in on the right choice.  This is certainly a "rich persons problem" because many people can't afford a home but I certainly don't feel rich as I consider the monthly mortgage and tax payments. I might even start voting Republican if I purchase this vast estate.  Got to keep those taxes down.

I am making money on my blog!

I earned a whole $1.29 from the ads that google chooses to run on my blog.  Clearly I will never make a living as a blogger especially since you have to earn at least $100.00 before you can withdraw any money but it still provides me with entertainment value. It's actually a little strange that I have not made more money from googles ads because their have been over 40,000 views of my blog.  Maybe people are so interested in what I am writing that they just ignore the google ads?
