Torchwood uses a lot of adult language and is generally not suitable for children. I do not believe it could be put on a broadcast network in the USA because of the language. It would need to be put on a pay cable channel. It is somewhat of a disappointment because the show has a lot of good points and the excessive filth doesn't really enhance its appeal.
